Getting near to a landmark

The Safari has been out wildlifing but we've also been mucking around with Frank n Wifey down on the beach after work so we've not had a great deal of time to keep the old blog going on a (more or less) daily basis. We're not wasting this good weather on you lot - sorry.
A few quick pics from yesterday
Red Tailed Bumble Bee mimicking hoverfly
Volucella bombylans
Same species but mimicking a White Tailed Bumble Bee
Common Blue Damselfly
Fiery grass
Grasshopper
Meadow Brown
Small Skipper on Meadow Vetchling
White Letter Hairstreak
and again! Wont come down to nectar on the eye level Thistles!
We have some pics from this safari from our Extreme Photographer to show you later in the week too.
Where to next? Back on the beach with another school group tomorrow, hopefully they find something exciting for you.
In the meantime let us know who's been enjoying the sunny warmth in your outback
